Petal and Spice Cocktail
A Floral, Fruity Cocktail with a Playful Kick
There’s just something magical about a cocktail that looks like it belongs on a fancy bar menu but is totally doable at home. The Petal and Spice cocktail is my favorite for those moments. This floral gin cocktail blends crisp gin and fragrant elderflower liqueur with tart cranberry and tropical passion fruit juice, topped with bubbly Sprite and finished with a sweet-spicy Tajín rim. Every sip is a burst of color and flavor.
I first made this beauty during a last-minute get-together, grabbing whatever I had in the kitchen. One sip in, and it became a go-to drink. It’s elegant but easy, and the mix of fruit, florals, and spice makes it feel special without requiring bartender skills.
The taste is perfectly balanced, sweet, tart, floral, and a little spicy around the edges. If you love an elderflower gin drink that can double as both a sunny-day refresher and a holiday gin cocktail, you’re going to adore this one.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Bar-worthy, no bar skills needed – Quick to mix and always impressive.
- Floral meets fruity – Elderflower and passion fruit are a dream pairing.
- Fun Tajín rim detail – Turns this into a true Tajín rim cocktail with sweet-heat in every sip.

Variations & Substitutions
- Swap the gin – Vodka for a smoother sip, or tequila blanco for a tropical gin cocktail twist.
- No passion fruit juice? – Mango or pineapple keep the tropical vibe going.
- Make it a mocktail – Skip the gin and elderflower, double the juices, top with Sprite.
- Big batch – Multiply ingredients, mix in a pitcher, and serve over ice for parties.
