The Story
There’s something so perfectly midweek cozy about spontaneous little outings. After work I headed over to Bourbon Billiards for drinks and a few rounds of pool with Leela. Loud laughter, clinking glasses, that mix of stale chalk dust and whiskey in the air, it felt like the kind of evening that unspools easily, no rush to be anywhere else.
Back home though, I was still buzzing with that energy, so I whipped up a quick batch of my Air Fryer Honey Lime Chicken. Crispy edges, sticky glaze, just enough tang to keep me going. Honestly, that dish is becoming my go-to when I want something that feels like takeout but better.
But then Chris gave me that look, the one that says snacks round two. Feeling peckish, we jumped in the car and hit Dairy Queen. He went classic with the banana split (predictable, but always a winner). Me? No contest. I had to get the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard. Cold, creamy, spicy-sweet pumpkin with those crumbles mixed in, tis the season and I’m not missing a single swirl of it.

Some nights just string themselves together like that, pool, chicken, ice cream. Nothing fancy, but it feels like fall wrapped up in a Wednesday.
